Zach’s At-Home Studio Keeps Us Guessing: Portraiture and Characters

Zach taps a wide variety of sources that inspire his creative process. As of late, he says he’s been “trying to replicate the art of animator Don Bluth (An American Tail, The Land Before Time, etc.)” He also uses “photos of real actors as reference while designing human characters.”

While our gallery renovations continue, some of Louis’ “renovated” canvases have popped up in the gallery window. Of all our artists, Louis has taken the most interest in the goings-on and provided many suggestions for what improvements should be made. An early wish list item was a traditional water cooler (around which coworking artists can gather), but Louis now thinks this isn’t the most environmentally friendly option and has other ideas in the works!
